Christian residential experiences play an important role in the life of churches, Christian organisations, children and young people across the UK. Now there’s an opportunity to help demonstrate just how significant that ministry is.
CRNet (Christian Residential Network) is carrying out research to build a clearer picture of the scale of Christian residential ministry across the UK, and we’d love your organisation to be part of it.
You do not need to be a CRNet member to take part. In fact, hearing from organisations across the wider Christian community is vital if the research is to reflect the true breadth of residential ministry taking place.
Could you spare just 5 minutes?
The short survey asks for some straightforward information about your organisation, including:
How many guests or attendees you welcome
Their age profile
The church traditions or denominations represented
The types of groups you serve
Your numbers of paid staff and volunteers
The overall capacity of your site(s), events or holidays
Please respond by Monday 19 October 2026.
Why does it matter?
Across the UK, Christian organisations are welcoming people through residential centres, retreats, camps, holidays and other residential experiences.
But what does that look like when we bring all those individual ministries together?
How many people are being welcomed? How many children and young people are being reached? How many staff and volunteers are involved? And what is the overall capacity of the Christian residential sector?
The more organisations that take part, the clearer and more powerful that picture becomes.
The findings will be brought together with earlier research into the impact and benefits of Christian residential ministry, with the full picture being shared in January 2027. Everyone who contributes will have access to the findings.
If your organisation is involved in Christian residential ministry in any way, please take five minutes to add your voice and your numbers.
And if you’re not the right person to provide the information, please pass the survey on to someone in your organisation who can.
Take part in the 5-minute survey
Together, we can help demonstrate the true scale, reach and significance of Christian residential ministry across the UK.
